    What's Happening To Our Hives?

At SWEET HARVEST FOODS, we understand that the health and livelihood of honey bees has a direct impact on the honey industry. However, even more remarkable is that 1 out of every 3 bites has been pollinated by honey bees and other pollinators. Honey bees are a lifeline to our food chain and quite simply, they need our help.

The global population of honey bees is struggling for survival and suffering from above-average yearly die-offs. There’s no single factor driving the decline, with potential factors including pesticides, parasites, poor nutrition via loss of forage areas, genetics/selective breeding and climate change.

As a leader in the industry, we think it’s important to do our part. We are involved in a variety of environmental causes that support not only the future of honey, but of all natural food sources.

Setting The Standard

SWEET HARVEST FOODS’ commitment to operate with the highest level of integrity means not only meeting but exceeding food safety requirements and quality standards. We operate with complete transparency and strict compliance to all regulations. We see this as our obligation to our stakeholders, employees, suppliers and customers.

Food Safety

We adhere to a robust food safety program that complies with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Both of our SWEET HARVEST FOODS facilities have reached top results with “AA” ratings. This means we monitor and evaluate the safety of all operations and review the risks in our global supply chain with added control points. We are devoted to providing safe and quality products that meet the most rigorous global standards.

Testing

At SWEET HARVEST FOODS each lot of imported honey is tested to ensure strict adherence to food safety, quality and sourcing standards. This allows for the detection of pesticides, antibiotics or other compromising materials.

Additionally, we test for economic adulteration and food fraud including the presence of additives, evidence of prior filtrations and other physical characteristics that are not consistent with pure, natural honey.

Through this rigorous process, we ensure that only the purest honey with superior traceability makes it into our products.

Certifications

We offer certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Fair Trade Certified and Kosher.

USDA Organic NON GMO FairTrade Kosher
