NATURAL AMERICAN FOODS PARTNERS WITH FAIR TRADE USA ON RESPONSIBLY SOURCED HONEY

ONSTED, MI–(Marketwired – Dec 1, 2015) – Natural American Foods, a leading processor of honey in the United States, announces today that it will offer Fair Trade Certified™ honey beginning in early 2016. The certification, obtained through Fair Trade USA, ensures that farmers and beekeepers are paid a fair price for their honey harvest, which in turn allows them to remain a sustainable part of their community for many years to come.

According to Rolf Richter, CEO for Natural American Foods, the decision to offer Fair Trade Certified honey was straightforward. “The drive for greater transparency in the food supply by consumers is well documented. The Fair Trade Certified honey from Natural American Foods will be available for sale in cases of 12oz bottles starting in January 2016.
