Sweet Harvest Foods and Nature Nate’s Honey Co. Donate More than 2,000 Honey Bottles to Minnesota Food Banks for Back-to-School Season

The donation supports local families and children, providing vital assistance for the upcoming academic year

Cannon Falls, MINN. – August 7, 2025 – Sweet Harvest Foods, the leader in the U.S. natural sweetener industry, and Nature Nate’s Honey Co. (Nate’s), the number-one branded honey company in the U.S. and producer of 100% pure, raw & unfiltered honey, are pleased to announce a donation of more than 2,000 bottles of honey to The Open Door Pantry and the Cannon Falls Food Shelf in Minnesota. The donation supports children and families in need as they prepare for the upcoming back-to-school season.

The Open Door, a non-profit based in Eagan, Minnesota, distributed more than 4.5 million pounds of food in 2024 alone, driving positive change in the fight against food insecurity. Through regular honey donations, Sweet Harvest Foods and Nate’s help to support their mission of providing food to families across Dakota County.

The same commitment to fighting food insecurity is shared by the Cannon Falls Food Shelf, which provides healthy, nourishing food to individuals and families in local Minnesota communities. Their dedication ensures neighbors have reliable access to essential resources, strengthening communities and providing hope during challenging times.

“At Sweet Harvest Foods and Nate’s, we are deeply committed to supporting the communities where we live and work,” said Michael Carle, CEO of Sweet Harvest Foods, the parent company of Nate’s. “Every child deserves to start the school year with joy and confidence. By sharing pure honey, we’re helping bring a little natural sweetness and support to families during this special season.”

This donation builds upon the commitment of Sweet Harvest Foods and Nate’s to support local communities. Previously, they made financial donations to The Open Door and 360 Communities, a nonprofit based in Burnsville, Minn., as part of the celebration of Sweet Harvest Foods’ new headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. In addition to these efforts, Sweet Harvest Foods was a proud sponsor of the Cannon Valley Fair and a first-responder golf tournament hosted by the Lakeville Public Safety Foundation. Together, Sweet Harvest Foods and Nate’s remain dedicated to creating meaningful impact through local partnerships and community-focused giving.
